Dear clients and friends of Health+,
We would like to remind you of an ongoing exhibition of the curatorial cycle Vita Bene, which every 4 months brings the works of artists to the premises of our polyclinic. Their aim is to make our clients' visits to us more pleasant and to provide an unexpected cultural experience.
The exhibition is the fourth in the Vita Bene series of exhibitions and is entitled Floria Floruit. This time the exhibition pays homage to spring, flowers and femininity – you will be introduced to the paintings of three artists, Yvonne Vácha-Mané, Ludmila Smejkalová and Michaela Červená. According to our long-standing tradition, the pieces are for sale; the artists created some of the paintings specifically for this exhibition.
Michaela Červená (*1997, Karlovy Vary)
This rising star of the young artistic generation studied at the Atelier of Fashion and Textile Design at the Jagiellonian University. During her studies, she completed internships at the UMPRUM studio and in Budapest. Her major exhibitions include a group show at DSC Gallery (OFF-HIBIT, 2021). Despite her relatively young age, her work is represented in several private collections.
Ludmila Smejkalová (*1979, Prague)
This painter, designer and clothing designer graduated from Painting Studio II of the Vladimír Skrepl School at the Academy of Fine Arts. She completed an internship in Portugal, which has greatly influenced her work, as well as work in fashion and running her own brand. She presented her clearly recognizable handwriting during a spectacular exhibition at Polansky Gallery (Night and Day/Vision Board, 2016). Her collectors include, in particular, other prominent artists.
Yvonne Vácha-Mané (*1969, Prague)
This versatile Czech-Senegalese artist graduated from the Studio of Book Illustration and Graphic Art at UMPRUM. She works with paint, objects, graphics, acting, dance and performance. The artist focuses on intercultural dialogue: she completed an internship at Meetfactory (Open call for Afro-Czech artists, 2020) and followed it up with an exhibition at Display Gallery (On the way to black testimony, 2021). She sees the future of her work as exploring the limits of automatic drawing. She is represented by the prestigious Dutch gallery Victory Art.
The exhibition is complemented by a glass vase design by Lasvit which you have a chance to see at the Kartouzská reception.
These objects are also for sale. The exhibition of paintings can be seen on all floors of Health+ Kartouzská and Ringhoffer Villa.
If you would like a guided tour, more information, or advice on selecting or purchasing works, the curator is at your disposal.
