Vaccination against Covid-19 and influenza

A new vaccine version, Comirnaty JN.1, is currently being distributed against Covid-19 for people aged 12 years and older. It is suitable as a core and booster vaccine. The main restriction is that it should be administered no earlier than 3 months after the last dose of Covid-19 vaccine, or no earlier than 3 months after a history of Covid-19 disease.

The booster dose is particularly suitable for the 65+ age group and for patients with chronic diseases.

It is also near the time of the seasonal flu vaccination. The Vaxigrip Tetra and Efluelda Tetra vaccines (recommended for the 65+ population) are available. Influenza epidemics hit the Czech Republic during the cold months of the year, most often between December and March, with October and November being the best months for vaccination.

The vaccination is especially suitable for the 65+ age group and for patients with chronic diseases.
